DIY: Rust Look

This week in the Yeppoon Store, we tried out the Porters Rust Finish paint range on customer Bill’s miniature dwellings. He was after a rust finish for the roof of his miniature Oyster Shack. Here's how we did it:
Step 1: Ensure surface is clean and dry, and apply 2x coats of Porters Liquid Iron (allowing to touch dry between coats).
Step 2: Apply a coat of Porters Instant Rust – this is what changes the surface to a rust look as it dries.
Step 3: Dampen a clean paint brush with water and brush over the surface to make it rust further. Repeat this as it dries to your desired look.
Voila! Our happy customer, Bill, is now ready to install his mini Oyster Shack.
