Paint Place, iconic paint specialists in Central Queensland join Inspirations Paint Group and take over ownership of all CQ based stores
On 1 March, Rockhampton based PPCQ Pty Ltd. announced they had joined the Inspirations Paint Group. Under the terms of the deal, PPCQ absorb the business of all existing Central Queensland Inspirations stores, to fully own and operate a total of six Inspirations Paint stores in the region; North & South Rockhampton, Gladstone, Yeppoon, Emerald and Bundaberg, employing near 40 people.
A local family owned business servicing CQ for over half a century
PPCQ General Manager Brett Morrison said, “We’ve been selling paint in the region for nearly 60 years under a few different store names; Earle’s Paint & Wallpaper in the 60s, Earle’s Paint Place in the late 80s and Paint Place since 2010. We’re excited about the new alliance, Inspirations Paint Group are Australia’s largest franchise of independently owned paint stores and we can now offer customers the full selection of Dulux branded products, at great prices”.
A true Paint Specialist
The six stores sell paint and accessories for house, automotive, industrial and marine categories.
“We remain a traditional paint specialist store, stocking the top brands in every category”, said Brett, “Dulux, Haymes & Berger house, Protec & PPG Automotive, Akzo Nobel & Dulux Protective Coatings, International Yacht & Norglass marine, plus a large range of other specialist brands and accessories. Our staff have knowledge and expertise second to none and can advise and trouble shoot on pretty much any painting project”.

The stores service a broad range of customers, from large commercial clients to retail DIY.
“We’ve always had a mix of customer types and it’s important to look after everyone according to their needs” continued Brett. “Good pricing is crucial, but our customer-centric service is what sets us apart.
Whether it’s a hospital requiring a speciality paint system, a painter needing a last-minute delivery to site, a retail customer wanting advice on colour schemes, or car enthusiast looking for the best refinish product, our reputation as the paint and colour specialists in CQ is so important to us. Now, as Inspirations Paint, we will continue to work tirelessly to maintain this status” finished Brett.
The full re-brand of the four existing Paint Place Stores to Inspirations Paint will be completed by 1 April. In the meantime, it’s business as usual and the team look forward to helping you with your next project.
