Grey is the new Beige

Increasingly, the neutral palette is swaying away from traditional cream beige tones to grey bases. These bases range from warm whites, which still yield a hint of cream mixed into a grey base, to cool greys with a blue base.

A whisper quiet neutral palette allows the flexibility of keeping it simple and letting the tones and texture do all the talking. Alternatively, use this palette to set the background atmosphere by simply adding a few strategic props of accent colours in accessories and soft furnishings.

A neutral palette is timeless, especially when working with the current range of neutral grey tones available in today's market. Just a few of my favourites include:

Greyology & Minimalist Ranges by Haymes

Taubmans Paints range and particularly Windy Beach, Struan Grey, Cloudburst and Taupe Grey

New Look by Inspirations Paint CQ have an Easy to Decorate Range in their 2017 range with colours like Peacetime, Heir, Darjeeling and Soda Fountain. Just to name a few.

All of these beautiful colours work brilliantly on their own with a crisp white trim, or can be added to by introducing blush, mushroom, moody blues, natural browns or metallics features, furnishings, or accessories.
